About Fractional Resurfacing Laser Treatments
At Remederm we use Sharplight Omnimax S4 for Fractional Laser for clients concerned about wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, and irregular skin texture.
Fractional laser treatments effectively tighten and reduce the signs of aging and damage caused by the environment and improve the skin's texture, resulting in smoother, younger looking skin where it counts - on the face, neck and hands. Our revolutionary Er:YAG laser produces a micro epidermal peel, which through a thermo-mechanical reaction, removes the problematic areas on the top layer of the skin. The fresh layer that grows has an improved texture, reduced or disappeared rhytids, wrinkles, scarring and spots and an overall renewed radiance.
Fractional laser therapy is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that employs advanced laser technology to target specific areas of the skin. Unlike traditional laser treatments that treat the entire skin surface, fractional laser procedures create controlled microscopic injuries in fractions of the skin, leaving surrounding healthy tissue untouched. The healing process stimulates collagen production and leads to skin rejuvenation from within.
Benefits of Fractional Laser Procedures:
Fractional laser treatments are highly effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. By stimulating collagen production, the procedure helps to restore skin elasticity, resulting in a more youthful and radiant complexion.
Acne scars can be emotionally distressing and challenging to treat. Fractional laser therapy has shown remarkable success in minimizing the appearance of acne scars by promoting new tissue growth and enhancing skin texture.
Prolonged sun exposure can lead to unwanted pigmentation and sunspots. Fractional laser procedures can effectively target and reduce these blemishes, giving the skin a more even tone and a rejuvenated appearance.
Compared to CO2 laser treatments, fractional laser procedures offer a quicker recovery period. The controlled nature of fractional lasers allows the skin to heal faster, resulting in minimal downtime for patients.
Fractional laser therapy is highly versatile and can be tailored to address various skin concerns. Whether it's fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation, or overall skin texture, the treatment can be customized to meet individual needs.
Fractional laser procedures are safe and effective for various skin types and tones. This inclusivity makes it a suitable option for a broad range of individuals seeking skin rejuvenation.
The collagen production triggered by fractional laser therapy provides long-term benefits. With proper aftercare and maintenance, the results of the treatment can last for several months to years.
Fractional laser procedures have revolutionized the cosmetic industry by offering safe, efficient, and versatile solutions for skin rejuvenation. With its ability to target specific skin concerns while promoting collagen production, this cutting-edge treatment has become a popular choice for individuals seeking effective and lasting results.
Remember, each person's skin is unique, and a tailored treatment plan will yield the most satisfactory and desirable results.

SharpLight's pulsed-light treatments are non-invasive and 100% safe.
A topical anaesthetic will be applied. Most patients find the treatment quite tolerable, experiencing more of a heat/prickly sensation rather than pain. To overcome this, we use a cool cold compres after the treatment.
Once treated, ointment will be applied and provided for home care.

What is the diffrence between Fractional Laser and Carbon Laser Peel?
Fractional laser treatments use laser light to create microscopic wounds in the skin, which stimulates the body’s natural healing process and helps reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Carbon laser peels use Nd:YAG Q Switched Laser and a carbon-based solution to remove the outermost layer of skin cells, resulting in a smoother, brighter complexion. Both treatments can be used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, and pigmentation.
However, fractional laser treatments are typically more effective at treating deeper wrinkles and can also improve skin tone and texture. Carbon laser peels are generally better suited for treating superficial skin imperfections.
What is the difference between CO2 Ablative Laser and Fractional Ablative Erbium Laser?
CO2 ablative lasers are used to remove the outer layers of skin, such as wrinkles and age spots. They also help to tighten underlying skin and stimulate collagen production, resulting in smoother skin. The laser energy is delivered in short pulses of high intensity, which vaporizes the top layer of the epidermis. This procedure requires several days of downtime for healing and can cause redness, swelling and discomfort.
Fractional ablative erbium lasers are used to treat mild cases of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars and other signs of aging. Unlike CO2 ablative lasers, this type of laser does not remove any part of the outer layer of the skin; instead it creates tiny columns in the skin that penetrate deeper into the dermis without damaging surrounding tissue. This leads to a much quicker recovery time with minimal side effects such as redness or swelling. It also stimulates collagen production over a longer period of time than CO2 ablative lasers, resulting in long-term improvements in skin texture and appearance.
In the past, many physicians believed CO2 laser were the best way to treat acne scars, wrinkles, and other skin blemishes. However, more dermatologist, physicians and patients are choosing Fractional laser Erbium : Yag technology over CO2 laser thanks to its impressive results and safe, gentle treatments.
